HOW CST is Described
Find out how CranioSacral Students and Therapists describe the experience.
What they have to say......
To describe CranioSacral Therapy, we could use the metaphor of a garden hose that is kinked in certain places where we've had trauma or injury. Those places need to be opened using gentle therapeutic touch, so that the water can flow freely and nourish everything in into the body, mind, and spirit.
CranioSacral Therapy is the process of recalibrating your body’s ability to find homeostasis this is achieved through gentle hands-on techniques that help to release fascial restrictions, rebalance the nervous system and realign the mind-body connection. As massage therapists/ physical therapists, we use this technique (CranioSacral Therapy), to allow clients to listen and be more in touch with their bodies – as the body has the ability to heal itself.
Do you know when you like scrape your knee and it scabs over by itself; and then magically skin appears under from this you know inherently that your body has the capacity to heal itself. But then why doesn’t it heal itself? Research is showing that this can be related to restrictions in what we call your craniosacral system.
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle touch technique that helps your nervous system self-correct for optimal well-being. This may include trauma, injury or disease.
Craniosacral is a holistic method using hands on technique to listen to the communication of the body and help the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and to give space to facilitate health and wellbeing.
Craniosacral Therapy is healing from the inside out it facilitates the flow of vertebral spinal fluid which in turn nourishes the nervous system, which supports the entire functioning of all other organ systems and the entire body.
Is a hands-on bodywork treatment that is client-led and patient first. It encourages the body’s self-correcting nature using the subtle wisdom of the craniosacral rhythm.
A gentle hands-on bodywork that helps regulate the nervous system and the body, which facilitates healing.
CST is a light touch whole body approach to nourishing the central nervous system. When tuned into the CSR the therapist will initiate the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
We use light, non-invasive touch to help induce your body’s natural healing processes to heighten or in cases of past traumas to restart. Our focus is fascial release and self-assisted re-balancing of the body’s nervous system to allow a return to a more para-sympathetic state.
Your CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) has a rhythm, and we tune into the rhythm to assess restrictions in production circulation and reabsorption of the CSF. To allow the body to heal itself.
Craniosacral therapy reminds the body of its own innate healing capability. For example, it helps to relieve pain such as TMJ and joint discomfort. It also relieves anxiety calming the central nervous system.
